The Terror is a “take thatstrategy board game with a rich historical theme, in which strong, simple gameplay builds into a fun and frantic battle of wits. To survive in Paris in 1793, you must adapt, deceive, and outmanoeuvre your rivals.

Save yourself by befriending or denouncing the revolution’s famous figures - heroes and villains. Who will you guillotine? Who will you spare? Shift alliances, join or attack factions, and betray others when it suits you. Strategy, deception, and cunning are essential.

Our game is based on the actual story of the French Revolution. The war of the factions was real. Each of our 90 Citizen cards portrays a real historical character (Robespierre, Danton, Marie Antoinette and the rest). The game is supported by a new illustrated short history of the French Revolution and great accompanying videos on our HistroMax YouTube channel.
